International Accounting Project Manager
Yoh, A Day & Zimmermann Company is offering a contract-to-hire opportunity for an International Accounting Project Manager supporting a leading advanced technology organization. This senior role will oversee and coordinate international accounting activities across multiple global entities, ensuring accurate and compliant financial support while managing complex cross-border processes.
Responsibilities
Serve as the primary project manager for international accounting activities across multiple countries and legal entities
Coordinate and oversee workstreams executed by the company’s third-party international accounting firm
Provide required inputs to the external firm, including:
Operating expenses requiring payment
Vendor invoices
Customer invoices to be issued
Ensure timely and accurate flow of information to support statutory reporting, tax compliance, and financial statement preparation
Monitor progress across international accounting cycles, identify roadblocks, and escalate issues when necessary
Maintain visibility into requirements and deadlines across all supported countries and ensure alignment with internal finance leadership
Coordinate with internal stakeholders to validate data, resolve discrepancies, and maintain organized documentation
Support internal international accounting strategy, process improvements, and global entity scaling initiatives
Collaborate closely with U.S.-based accounting and finance teams to align global financial operations
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
Minimum 5+ years of experience in accounting, finance, or international accounting operations
Strong project management skills with experience overseeing multi-country accounting workflows
Understanding of international accounting, compliance requirements, invoicing, and cross-border financial processes
Experience supporting or coordinating with external accounting firms
Experience working with the following international regions: India (highest priority), Taiwan, Europe: UK, Netherlands, Norway, Germany
Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple concurrent workstreams
Excellent communication skills with the ability to interface across functions and time zones
Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and familiarity with accounting/ERP systems
Ability to operate effectively in a fast-paced, complex environment with shifting priorities
High level of integrity and confidentiality with financial information
Preferred
Experience with Deltek Costpoint
Prior exposure to government contracting environments
CPA or international accounting certification a plus
Big 4 public accounting experience strongly preferred
