Responsibilities
Preparation of federal and state income tax returns
Preparation of supporting workpapers/documents using Excel and Word
Research various tax matters
Assist the Tax Department and others as needed
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in Accounting
Experience in a tax department of a CPA firm and/or in an industry tax department
Federal income tax experience
Multistate income/franchise tax experience
Strong computer skills
Ability to work well with cross-functional teams within the company
Ability to multi-task and possess a strong sense of urgency in meeting government filing deadlines
Excellent listening, communication, and problem-solving skills
Willingness to work overtime as needed during busy season
Preferred
CPA or CPA candidate a plus
