The role involves designing and constructing precision optical and cryogenic systems for quantum experiments, as well as collaborating across disciplines to develop new quantum technologies.

Responsibilities
Design, construct, and characterize precision optical and/or cryogenic systems for quantum experiments
Understand and implement protocols for qubit preparation, control, and readout
Integrate control electronics, laser or rf and microwave systems, and data acquisition
Analyze experimental results and optimize system performance
Cross-team collaboration to guide system design and development
Qualification
Required
Ph.D. in Physics, Applied Physics, Electrical Engineering or a related field
Hands-on experience working with advanced laboratory instrumentation and quantum systems including AMO physics, solid-state and/or superconducting systems
Familiarity with qubit control, spectroscopy, or precision measurement techniques
Strong background in experimental design, data analysis, and scientific problem solving
Experience with Python or similar tools for experiment automation
Excellent communication skills and a collaborative mindset
