Responsibilities

Conceptualizes, plans, designs, implements and conducts research studies; develops and writes grant proposals to seek and obtain extramural funding to support research program; obtains and maintains NIH R01 or equivalent funding
Writes and publishes research in high quality peer reviewed, scientific journals; attends and makes presentations of research at national and international scientific conferences; develops national and international scholarly reputation
Instructs and mentors junior scientists, doctoral and postdoctoral students, medical students, residents and fellow trainees; participates in department, college and university committees and initiatives

Qualification

Research in pancreatic cancerGrant writingPublishing in peer-reviewed journalsMentoring junior scientistsCollaboration with clinical teams

Required

PhD or MD/PhD in an applicable field
Established record of research in pancreatic cancer
Proven ability to write scientific reports and publish in scientific, peer-reviewed journals preferred
Qualify for academic appointment at the Assistant, Associate or Professor level – Academic rank and salary will be commensurate with previous training and experience

Preferred

Active extramural grant funding (equivalent to NIH R01) desired
