Test Technician

Responsibilities

Work closely with test engineers and senior technicians to set up and execute testing of Li Ion batteries for multiple aerospace programs
Follow written instructions, standard procedures, and documented processes to complete assigned tasks
Support a wide range of test activities using equipment such as thermal-vacuum chambers (TVAC), electrical test instruments, and related test fixtures and harnessing
Follow laboratory processes and procedures to maintain a safe, clean, and organized work environment
Perform repetitive and detail-oriented tasks with consistency and high accuracy
Report directly to the Test Technician Supervisor

Required

Ability to follow and execute standard operating procedures in an aerospace environment
Executes work with a high attention to detail in regards to repetitive, detail oriented tasks
Database entry experience with Excel or similar programs
Excellent communication skills (verbal and written) and the ability to work within a close knit team to strict deadlines
Educational requirement: minimum of a high school diploma (or equivalent)
Must be able to stand for long periods of time
Must be able to frequently bend; twist; reach; stoop; kneel or crouch
Must be able to lift 25 pounds/11.5 kilos on occasions
Must be able to differentiate colors
This position is exposed to harmful materials such as lead/fiberglass products. Periodic blood tests are required to measure the level of lead
Employees are responsible for wearing the required Personal Protective Equipment in the proper manner at all times
Must be able and willing to work overtime

Preferred

Aerospace or high tech industry experience preferred
Knowledge of or experience with lithium-ion or other batteries advantageous
Experience with electrical test equipment (multimeters, break-out-boxes, oscilloscopes, power supplies, etc.) is advantageous
'Off' hours or weekend support will be required at times
