Responsibilities

Conduct assignments at Oil Creek State Park and assist other parks and regional offices with environmental education, various inspections, and special projects
Assist with environmental education and program preparation and delivery for school groups and the general public
Collaborate with park and regional staff to learn how to manage the park's natural resources, including preparation, maintenance, and adherence to the park's resource management plans
Conduct inspections to ensure safety and compliance, while delivering exceptional customer service to the public

Required

Enrollment in good academic standing as a FULL-TIME student in a two-year, bachelor's degree or advanced degree program in Environmental Education, Park and Resource Management, Parks and Recreation, Environmental Resource Management, or an approved major course which includes a qualifying 24 credit hours of study in the physical, biological and environmental sciences
Good academic standing (2.0 GPA or higher)
Freshman year completed by May 2026
Pennsylvania residency or enrollment of a Pennsylvania college or university
Possess a valid driver's license which is not under suspension
Able to perform essential job functions
Complete Child Abuse, Criminal and Federal Criminal History Checks within 10 days of hire
