Responsibilities
Territory Management
Meet customers and assess their needs
Conduct a dynamic tools presentation and provide instruction to prospective tool users
Cultivate relationships and build referral business
Conduct Training Events
Conduct product demonstrations
Will deliver hard sales results to the store level by writing merchandise sales orders while conducting customer appointments
Conduct Demo with customers
Assist with open house events
Assist with tool quality and development
Assist with employee and training
Certification of Ames customers on the tools
Grow rental revenues to desired company standards
Travel is required
Other duties as assigned
Qualification
Required
High school diploma or general education degree (GED) and four plus years related experience
Must be at least 18 years of age
Outstanding skills in customer service, suggestive selling skills, financial acumen, understanding of and ability to sell importance of service in the tool rental equation
Must have valid driver's license and clean MVR with ability to be underwritten by company automobile insurance carrier
Forklift Certification is required in some stores and may be obtained post hire
Ability to conduct tool training sessions on job sites
Ability to sell features and benefits to end users and decision makers
Ability to sell features and benefits of sales merchandise product line
Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals
Ability to write routine reports and correspondence
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals
Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percentage
Preferred
Bilingual in English and Spanish strongly preferred
