Responsibilities
Manage and deliver traffic engineering projects, with an emphasis on traffic design and analysis (traffic control, signing, and pavement markings, traffic impact studies, operational and safety analyses, capacity analysis, forecasting, etc.)
Lead and oversee traffic analysis efforts, including the application of industry-standard methodologies and tools to evaluate existing and future conditions, identify mitigation strategies, and support data-driven transportation design decisions
Lead the preparation of plans, specifications, and estimates (PS&E) packages, ensuring quality, accuracy, and compliance with agency standards
Serve as the primary point of contact for clients; develop and maintain strong client relationships through regular communication and collaboration
Lead and contribute to technical proposals, scopes, and fee estimates for traffic and transportation design opportunities
Supervise and mentor junior engineers and technical staff, providing guidance, feedback, and support for career growth
Monitor budgets, schedules, and deliverables, ensuring projects are delivered on time and within budget
Coordinate with other disciplines and stakeholders to support integrated transportation solutions
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or related field (Master's preferred)
Professional Engineer (PE) license in Pennsylvania (or ability to obtain within 6 months)
Ten (10)+ years of progressive experience in traffic engineering
Proven track record of successful project management and client interaction
Proficient in design software and tools such as MicroStation, AutoCAD or similar
Strong understanding of PennDOT/PTC/City of Philadelphia standards and guidelines
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
