Responsibilities
Conduct pre and post construction work inspections ensuring work was done correctly to specification
Conduct on-site measurements and tracking quantities
Regularly report to the resident engineer, project lead, and professional engineer (PE) overseeing the programs to keep them informed
Maintain daily, weekly, and expert tracking records
Verify quantities and line items in field with contractors and client
Function as an ambassador for the city’s urban forest resources during interaction with the city’s residents and landowners
Administer all H&S procedures as required by the owner and as detailed in the H&S manual
Qualification
Required
Pursuing a Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, Environmental Engineering or closely related field. (must be enrolled in a degree seeking program during the internship period)
Preferred
Prior internship or related experience in construction/civil/environmental engineering
Construction/Restoration Oversight
OSHA 10 Certification
EIT Certification
