Responsibilities
Support product development: Collaborate with R&D scientists to ensure new products meet application requirements
Conduct application testing: Perform lab and pilot-scale evaluations to validate product performance in customer-specific conditions
Provide technical support: Assist customers and sales teams with product selection, troubleshooting, and optimization
Develop application guidelines: Create technical documentation, best practices, and training materials for internal and external stakeholders
Collaborate cross-functionally: Work with Sales, Marketing, and Manufacturing to align product capabilities with market needs
Analyze performance data: Interpret test results and provide recommendations for product improvements or application enhancements
Participate in customer trials: Support on-site evaluations and ensure successful implementation of solutions
Stay current on industry trends: Monitor emerging technologies and application requirements to inform R&D priorities
Qualification
Required
Strong knowledge of chemistry, materials science, or chemical engineering; experience with specialty chemicals applications
Ability to design and conduct experiments, interpret results, and recommend solutions
Experience providing technical assistance and troubleshooting in industrial or commercial settings
Proficiency in analyzing performance data and preparing technical reports
Ability to create clear documentation and deliver presentations to technical and non-technical audiences
Skilled in managing application projects and coordinating with multiple stakeholders
Familiarity with end-use markets such as electronics, coatings, adhesives, or polymers
Degree in Chemical Engineering, Chemistry, or related field; prior experience in applications engineering or technical service preferred
