Principle Numerical Control Programmer
Northrop Grumman is a leader in technological advancements, seeking a Principal Numerical Control Programmer to support their Clearfield Case Value Stream Process Engineering team. The role involves developing and improving machining manufacturing processes, troubleshooting production issues, and collaborating with engineering teams to enhance operational efficiency.

Responsibilities
Developing, testing, and improving machining manufacturing processes
Supporting rocket motor case machining processes on the shop floor
Performing cause and corrective action activities to permanently eliminate defects using root cause analysis tools
Working with concurrent engineering team to create engineering, planning and other process support documents
Authoring, updating and reviewing shop floor planning
Identifying tooling needs and working with tooling group to design, qualify, and implement new tools
Preparing and presenting technical presentations to the VSET, leadership, review boards, and customers for review and approval
Performing table top reviews
Using SPC tools to ensure process control
Troubleshooting production/tooling/facility issues and implementing improvements and solutions
Qualification
Required
B.S. degree in Mechanical, Aerospace Engineering, or other technical engineering discipline with 5 years' experience or 3 Years with a Master's degree. Experience may be considered in lieu of a degree, requiring 9 years of relevant experience
Machining and/or NC programming experience (hands-on or engineering experience)
CAD experience
Vericut experience
Basic Computer skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
Preferred
Experience in lean manufacturing techniques
Experience interpreting drawings, solid models, and specifications
Experience writing shop planning (preferred)
Process Controls (SPC)
