Responsibilities

Configure and maintain Virtual Machines for development and production

Load, update, and secure Linux operating systems and software

Apply patches, handle IAVA updates, and monitor system health

Support ISSOs and ISSEs with security accreditation tasks

Write and maintain SOPs and technical documentation

Troubleshoot issues and coordinate fixes across engineering and admin teams

Track work in ticketing systems and communicate status clearly

Top Secret Clearance with Full Scope Polygraph (must be active)

Must be a U.S. Citizen

3+ years of System Administrator experience

Bachelor's degree in System Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering Science, Engineering Management, or a related discipline

Four additional years of experience may be substituted for a degree, for a total of 7 years

VM configuration and maintenance

Linux operating systems

Scripting in Bash, Perl, or similar

OS and software patching, including IAVA compliance

Strong attention to detail and time management

Strong communication skills

Preferred

Docker containerization and Kubernetes

Public Key Infrastructure

Secrets and vault management tools

Active Directory or LDAP

Networking and load balancing

Jira, Redmine, or similar ticketing tools

Ability to work independently and with a team
