The role involves designing electrical systems for various projects, assisting in the production of engineering construction documents, and collaborating with a team of engineers and designers.

Responsibilities

Work with a team of engineers and designers to work from architectural plans and base files to assist in the production of quality engineering construction documents in Revit
Under limited supervision of Engineers and Project Engineers, design electrical systems including equipment sizing, energy lighting calculations and circuit diagrams for a variety of project types including high-rise, multifamily, commercial and technology
Perform calculations such as electrical load analysis, lighting energy use, voltage drop, fault analysis, etc
Provide reviews of submittals and preliminary reviews of requests for information
Independently conduct preliminary site investigations and construction progress site visits
Maintain working relationships with manufacturers and technical representatives for electrical equipment in support of equipment specifications and design support
Participate in internal production meetings with Engineers and Project Managers as well as external design meetings with clients or city officials as necessary
Participate in development of automation and visualization strategies
Inform Project Engineers, Team Leaders, and Project Managers of progress on assigned projects
Attend industry events and become involved in the community, creating relationships and content

Required

0-2 years of experience
Bachelor of Science Degree in Electrical Engineering or Architectural Engineering
Engineer in Training (EIT) license obtained within first year in role
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Experience in the field of new building mechanical engineering construction
Experience in Revit
