Possess knowledge of the theories, concepts, processes, techniques, principles, and/or practices of environmental policy and/or science issues related to waste management
Knowledge of the history, trends, and evolving status of waste management and recycling
Understand statutes, such as the Resource Conservation and Recovery Act (RCRA), and their implementation
Understand interrelationships with other key disciplines such as the physical or biological sciences, engineering, and public finance
Demonstrate ability to develop expertise in new areas
Qualification
