This role involves overseeing the VFX pipeline, collaborating with various teams, and ensuring the quality of visual effects from concept to final delivery.

Responsibilities

Oversee all VFX work from concept through final delivery for vertical and short-form content

Collaborate with directors, producers, and editors to define the visual effects look and ensure creative alignment

Complete hands-on VFX work for shots to meet project deadlines or quality standards

Source and supervise external VFX artists, setting priorities, reviewing shots, and providing feedback

Manage on-set VFX needs including data capture, green screen, tracking, and lighting references

Develop efficient workflows optimized for vertical aspect ratios and fast-turnaround schedules

Coordinate with editorial, color, and finishing teams to ensure seamless integration of VFX shots

Review and approve shots for quality control, consistency, and creative intent

Advise production teams on technical requirements, budgets, and scheduling for VFX-heavy scenes

Maintain up-to-date knowledge of emerging VFX technologies, AI tools, and mobile rendering pipelines

Ensure all deliverables meet technical specifications for social and streaming platforms (TikTok, Instagram Reels, YouTube Shorts, etc.)
