Responsibilities

Conduct detailed field inspections of distribution poles, attachments, and associated equipment
Perform joint-use audits, verifying communication company attachments for accuracy and compliance with NESC standards
Complete light inspections and meter inspections, documenting conditions and identifying maintenance needs
Record field data using approved company systems, ensuring accuracy and completeness
Identify and report potential safety hazards, clearance violations, or damaged equipment
Coordinate with Field Distribution Specialists and other departments to support design and maintenance activities
Ensure all work adheres to company safety policies and applicable regulations
Maintain a professional demeanor when interacting with customers, contractors, and external stakeholders

Required

High school diploma or equivalent required
2+ years of experience in electric utility field work, inspection, or related industry
Working knowledge of NESC standards and electric distribution equipment
Ability to read and interpret maps, drawings, and utility records
Proficiency with field data collection tools, mobile apps, or GPS-based systems
Strong attention to detail and safety awareness
Valid driver's license and ability to work in outdoor environments
Reliable, detail-oriented, and self-directed
Strong problem-solving and observational skills
Effective communication and teamwork abilities
Commitment to safety and regulatory compliance
