Reliability & PI Engineer - Ammonium Nitrate

Responsibilities
Ensures the accurate reporting, categorization, and investigation of production losses, driving systemic improvements and compliance with DNL’s Reliability Standard
Live and foster Dyno Nobel Values
Ensure compliance with applicable HSE Performance Standards
Lead regular reviews of production losses and cost-impact events
Participate in investigation of loss events exceeding the investigation threshold using approved methodologies
Monitor asset performance metrics including OEE, Uptime, Reliability, and Mean Uptime
Oversee the use and maintenance of the Production Reporting and Loss System (PRLS)
Identify Direct Causes and Systemic Root Causes for Reliability Events
Facilitate quarterly reviews from PI data to identify ‘Bad Actor’ equipment
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and implement systemic improvements
Investigation of loss events
Utilizing PI monitor asset performance metrics including OEE, Uptime, Reliability, and Mean Uptime
Oversee the use and maintenance of the Production Reporting and Loss System (PRLS)
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, or related field)
3+ years of experience in reliability, maintenance, or operations management in a manufacturing or industrial setting
Proficient in data systems such as PRLS, ERP and PI platforms
Ability to lead cross-functional teams and drive change
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Excellent communication and leadership abilities
Knowledge of RCA methodologies (e.g., 5 Whys, Fishbone, Fault Tree Analysis)
Understanding of discrete manufacturing processes
Preferred
Prefer experience in explosives or heavy chemical manufacturing
Experience using PI in a chemical manufacturing setting is desired
Certified Reliability Engineer (CRE) or equivalent preferred
Familiarity with heavy chemical manufacturing
Positive attitude, friendly demeanor, and a team player
