Associate Field Technician/Field Technician/Sr. Field Technician
Boardwalk Pipelines is a limited partnership operating in the midstream portion of the natural gas and natural gas liquids industry. They are seeking an Associate Field Technician/Field Technician/Sr. Field Technician responsible for daily operations and maintenance tasks associated with pipeline and compressor station compliance and maintenance.

Responsibilities
Carrying out daily operations & maintenance tasks associated with pipeline and compressor station compliance and maintenance of Texas Gas pipelines in Pineville and other assigned areas
Responsible for environmental health & safety and reliability for natural gas transmission through the pipeline system
Compressor maintenance
Reading rectifiers
Valve inspection and maintenance
Tank gauging
Pipeline locating
Pipeline patrolling
Gas sampling
One-calls
Preventive pipeline maintenance and operations related to meter station, valve site and right of way maintenance
Gas quality monitoring
Assisting with construction and repairs of pipelines and associated facilities
Operating the facilities
Assisting with the repair and maintenance of reciprocating natural gas fired Cooper Bessmer engines, Solar Turbine and associated compressor units including the overhaul and mechanical repairs of all reciprocating natural gas engines and compressors
Recognition and reporting of abnormal and safety related operating conditions
Accident and near miss reporting
Emergency response (HAZWOPER)
Regulatory compliance, operations, maintenance, and repair procedures associated with DOT, industry standards, manufacturer, and company guidelines as they relate to facility equipment and appurtenances
Responding to call-outs and being part of the on-call rotation related to pipeline and compression and for responding to emergencies or abnormal situations
Qualification
Required
1 to 5 years of gas pipeline operations and maintenance experience or equivalent petrochemical / oil industry experience
Excellent verbal communication skills, problem solving skills and a history of safe work are required
Ability to work outside in hot, cold, muddy, and wet environments and ability to stand for long periods of time, and climb stairs and ladders
Ability to utilize a PC and I-phone and manage a filing system
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and a strong mechanical aptitude
Ability to lift and carry 50 lbs. for a minimum of 50 feet
Ability to operate valve control wheels with a minimum of 50 turns
Valid driver's license with a safe driving record with no restrictions. Chosen candidate will be required to maintain a Louisiana Class D license
High school diploma
Preferred
Electrical knowledge including certifications and degrees
Natural Gas Compression Experience
PHMSA 192 knowledge
Technicial degree or college degree
