Responsibilities

Perform structural design of projects from the conceptual phase through design completion

Modify and review production drawings for a variety of projects including but not limited to: municipal water/wastewater treatment plants, industrial wastewater treatment plants, pump stations, utility vaults, and other structures to support water/wastewater infrastructure

Design structural components for project needs and requirements that are set forth by the project managers

Apply strong knowledge of commonly used structural engineering/design concepts, principles, practices, codes, and procedures within the structural engineering services industry

Research and compile project related data as required by the project managers

Compile information for client presentations, shop drawing review, and contract administration for the design of a variety of projects as indicated

Perform field inspections, measurements or calculations for public and private clients

Required

Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Civil Engineering, or a directly related field plus five (5) years of structural engineering experience in the water or wastewater industry

Alternatively, a Master's degree in Engineering, Civil Engineering, or a directly related field plus four (4) years of structural engineering experience in the water or wastewater industry is required in lieu of a Bachelor's degree plus five (5) years

Four (4) years of experience in Structural analysis program: Risa 3D

Four (4) years of experience in Word Processing

Four (4) years of experience in AutoCAD

Four (4) years of experience in BIM program: Revit

Four (4) years of experience in performing quality reviews of detailed engineering documents and specifications
