Responsibilities

Collaborate closely with the education team at Pymatuning State Park

Schedule, coordinate, plan, and deliver diverse educational programs

Participate in classroom sessions, outdoor recreational activities, large-scale events, and workshops for educators

Perform physically demanding tasks, including kayaking, fishing, biking, hiking, and backpacking

Read, understand, and present lesson plans tailored to different audience demographics

Design program flyers and communicate with participants

Select and develop an independent project

Qualification

Required

Current full-time enrollment in a two-year degree, bachelor's degree or advanced degree program in one of the following majors: Environmental Science, Environmental Studies, Parks and Resource Management, Education, or an approved major course which includes a qualifying 24 credit hours of study in the physical, biological and environmental sciences

Freshman year completed by May 2026

Good academic standing (2.0 GPA or higher)

Pennsylvania residency or enrollment at a Pennsylvania college or university

You must possess a valid driver's license which is not under suspension

You must be able to perform essential job functions

In accordance with Act 153 of 2014, this position is required to complete Child Abuse, Criminal and Federal Criminal History Checks within 10 days of hire
