Director of Campus Operations
Simpson University is seeking a Director of Campus Operations to provide leadership and oversight of various facilities and services. The role involves managing auxiliary services, campus safety, and event execution while ensuring high-quality service delivery and fiscal management.

Responsibilities
Responsible for providing overall leadership and direction for the following areas: auxiliary services, mail and copy services, rental of conference facilities to 3rd parties, SU rental properties, short-term on-campus rentals, facilities (buildings, grounds, electrical, plumbing, HVAC) and campus safety
Provide leadership, professional expertise and direction in the conceptualization and implementation of high-quality functions
Provide oversight for successful achievement of entire campus safety training and annual compliance reporting, including Clery Act
Serve as one of the marketing agents for generating revenue for Simpson University via rental and facilities for conferences
Oversee successful execution of all aspects of revenue producing campus events which could include but are not limited to the following: camps, seminars, special events, short term on-campus rentals, etc
Responsibilities include advertising, pricing, invoicing, coordinating with other university departments/personnel, supervising employees to assist in event execution, pre-event planning, post-event follow-up, etc
Oversee successful execution of the facilities and related systems portion of routine and special campus events
Work closely with the sponsoring department or person(s) to ensure that high quality service is provided
Manage an operating budget and develop the budget for expenses and revenues in these areas. Track performance to budget throughout the year and adjust execution accordingly to perform equal to or better than planned
Develop and create client contracts and oversee coordination of successful execution of revenue producing campus events
Demonstrate good fiscal management skills in the performance of job duties
Research and implement cost saving ideas/programs
Provide reports and summaries as assigned by the Chief Operating Officer
Coordinate with state and federal organizations as required in carrying out the duties of this job
Develops and maintains a positive working relationship with a wide range of constituencies
Evaluate, recommend, and purchase capital assets
Write policies and procedures as appropriate
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in related field required
Ability to communicate effectively and professionally with employees, students, customers, vendors, management and board members
Strong relationship builder with demonstrated ability to lead diverse work teams
Demonstrates integrity, strives for excellence and inspires trust
Excellent problem solving and decision making skills
Demonstrated ability to establish and maintain cooperative and effective working relationships with others
Have and maintain Class B California Driver License
Excellent communication and customer service skills
Good organizational skills
Proficient with Microsoft Office software applications (e.g. Word, Excel, Access, etc.) Willing to stay current with updated program applications and to learn new programs as needed
Many responsibilities require work to be performed at times other than normal business hours
Preferred
Master's degree preferred
At least five years of contraction building maintenance or related experience preferred
