Avionics Technician
Akima is a federal contractor focused on supporting shareholder communities in Alaska. The Avionics Technician will perform scheduled and unscheduled maintenance on a fleet of MH-139 aircraft in accordance with approved maintenance procedures.

Responsibilities
Performs aircraft maintenance transit inspections and fault resolution
Adjusts, repairs, or replaces electrical wiring system and aircraft accessories
Performs preflight, thru-flight, and post-flight maintenance inspections
Performs miscellaneous duties to service aircraft, including flushing crankcase, cleaning screens and filters, greasing moving parts, and checking brakes
Cleans parts, using cleaning solutions, and polishing and lapping compounds
Performs work under general supervision
Handles moderately complex issues and problems and refers more complex issues to higher-level staff
Possesses solid working knowledge of subject matter
Qualification
Required
Secret Clearance (interim Secret to start)
HS diploma or equivalent
Technicians must have previous helicopter experience with a minimum of four (4) years aviation experience
Must be able to pass DOT ground support physical
Must obtain or possess a valid US Passport
Valid Driver's License required
