Responsibilities

Execute manual test cases to validate functional, regression, and integration requirements
Design, develop, and maintain automated test scripts using VA-supported automation tools
Participate in test planning, test case development, and test execution for new features and releases
Validate data accuracy, business rules, and system behavior across integrated systems
Identify, document, and track defects using standard defect management tools
Collaborate with developers and business stakeholders to clarify requirements and resolve issues
Support system, integration, and user acceptance testing activities
Maintain test documentation, test evidence, and execution results in accordance with federal audit and compliance standards
Support troubleshooting and validation of production issues as needed

Required

Ability to obtain a VA Public Trust Clearance
Bachelor's degree + 3 years of software testing or quality assurance experience, OR
Associate's degree + 5 years of software testing or quality assurance experience, OR
High School Diploma/GED + 7 years of software testing or quality assurance experience
Experience with one or more of the following automation tools: Ruby, Cucumber, Java, Selenium
Experience with one or more of the following manual testing tools: JIRA, Postman, ServiceNow Workflows (SWL) or similar tools

Preferred

Experience with both manual and automated testing in enterprise applications
Experience using multiple VA-supported automation tools (Ruby, Cucumber, Java, Selenium)
Experience with API testing and validation
Experience supporting Salesforce and/or MuleSoft–based systems
Experience supporting federal government systems or compliance-driven environments
Familiarity with Agile or iterative development methodologies
Strong attention to detail and ability to clearly document defects and test results
Ability to work effectively in cross-functional teams
Proactive mindset – jumps in and connects the dots and fills gaps, and identifies and tackles work without being asked
