Quality Engineer III

Aptar is seeking a Quality Engineer III to provide technical quality support and leadership to internal customers and external suppliers. The role involves developing systems for product conformance, supervising quality technicians, and driving continuous improvement initiatives to achieve facility quality goals.

Responsibilities

Develop and implement systems to ensure product conformance to specifications and customer requirements
Supervise and support Quality Technicians, providing guidance, training, and performance feedback to ensure consistent execution of quality processes
Collaborate across departments to drive improvements and execute changes in quality processes
Review and approve product specifications for manufacturing
Provide Advanced Quality Planning (AQP) support for new products and processes, including planning, development, validation, and verification
Apply statistical analysis, metrology, and problem-solving techniques to resolve internal and external manufacturing issues
Lead root cause analysis and implement effective, permanent corrective actions
Facilitate cross-functional teams to address and resolve recurring or isolated quality concerns
Serve as a technical liaison with customers regarding manufacturing issues, non-conformances, and quality-related inquiries
Support and drive continuous improvement initiatives to achieve facility quality goals and Key Process Indicators (KPIs)
Actively participate in the Quality Improvement Process (QIP)
Assist in internal, customer, and Aptar certification audits
Contribute to the integrated management system processes, including ISO, BRC, and SQF standards
Develop and maintain procedures and work instructions for manufacturing and support teams
Provide training and support to manufacturing personnel to ensure quality standards are understood and upheld

Required

Bachelor's degree in engineering or related technical discipline required
Minimum of 5 years' experience in a Quality role within a manufacturing or technical environment
Strong working knowledge of quality tools and methodologies, including: Root Cause Analysis & Corrective Action (CAR), Failure Modes and Effects Analysis (FMEA), ISO Standards (ISO 9001), Lean Manufacturing Principles, Statistical Process Control (SPC)
Familiarity with ISO 9001 and BRC standards is preferred
Experience with statistical software tools is a plus
Prior experience in plastic injection molding and/or high-speed assembly processes is highly desirable
