Responsibilities

Analyzes, researches and develops structural engineering specifications involving metals, non-metallic or composite structural materials for product design, or operation of product to include structures, mechanical, hydraulic, electrical and electronics, power plant, armament, heating and ventilating, equipment and maintenance designs

Analyzes damage tolerance, durability, design allowables and structural modeling

Specific structural engineering specialties may include dynamics and loads, stability and stress fatigue and thermal analysis

Tools utilized may include CATIA, IDEAS, ProEngineer and a variety of software applications

Required

Bachelor's degree in a STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics) discipline with 2 years of experience; or Master's degree in a STEM discipline with 0 years of experience

Must be a US Citizen with an active DoD Secret Clearance with an investigation date within the last 5 years

U.S. Citizenship with the ability to obtain Special Program Access (SAP)

Experience running dynamic and/or static analysis

Experience in any of the following: ABAQUS, ANSYS, FEMAP (w/Nastran)

Experience in programming and use of MATLAB (or equivalent) for analysis and data manipulation
