Transport Network Arch. Research Intern
Nokia Bell Labs is a global leader in connectivity for the AI era, pioneering foundational technologies and driving innovation. The Transport Network Arch. Research Intern will work with the Network Architecture Research team to define and implement software solutions for cloud and networking challenges, while also engaging in proof of concept demonstrations.

Work with members of the Bell labs Network Architecture Research team
Define and implement software that solves cloud and networking problems
Implement proof of concept demonstrations
Leverage open-source and cloud software solutions
Qualification
Required
Currently a candidate pursuing a PhD or Master's degree in Computer Science, Communications Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field with an accredited school in the US
Strong programming skills: e.g., Python, C++, and similar
Knowledge of communication networks
Knowledge of cloud computing, e.g., tools like Kubernetes and Docker
Preferred
Experience with programming switches and network interface cards for custom functionality
Experience with training and inference of large language models
Knowledge of packet and optical transport networks
An understanding of AI/ML methodologies
