Responsibilities

Facilitate & participate in concept brainstorming & ideation sessions

Work as a “hands-on” Engineer as related to design, material, or process

Plan and design experiments and conduct data analysis in support product lines

Design and implement test methods and equipment to support product development

Solve complex problems and make sound design recommendations

Provide technical assistance for troubleshooting & diagnosing design and manufacturing quality problems

Create Standard Work documents and help maintain the Controlled Document system

Performs and records First Article Inspections as required

Lead projects across the department as requested

Coordinates with the Value Stream Manager to develop and conduct training on quality standards, measurement devices, quality alerts, procedure changes, etc

Assists in process improvement efforts by working with Process Engineers to identify, implement and validate process changes

Research future concepts within the market including the monitoring of technology trends

Drive Lean Methodology within the Atkore Business System

Required

Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical, Electrical or Industrial Engineering or related field required with 3-5 years of experience in manufacturing environment

Advanced data analytic and computer system skills required

Strong communication, presentation, and analytical skills

Excellent computer skills with the use of Windows Applications: Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint & Word

Proven problem-solving mindset and creativity skillset

Preferred

Experience in a manufacturing environment

Experience in lean manufacturing or business system-based company
