Responsibilities
Manage and expand relationships with assigned customers and brokers, acting as the primary day-to-day contact for pricing, forecasts, inquiries and service needs
Identify, research and pursue new business opportunities; maintain a healthy prospect pipeline through proactive outreach, networking, and trade show participation
Support development of pricing and costing strategies; maintain accurate cost sheets, freight estimates and margin targets
Collaborate with internal teams - customer service, logistics, finance, QA, production - to ensure smooth order execution, resolve issues, and align on supply and specifications
Track and report sales performance, forecasts, and pipeline progress using CRM and ERP systems
Prepare presentations, proposals and account updates; manage customer portals and documentations for pricing, trade spend and compliance
Monitor market trends, competitive activity, and customer feedback to refine sales strategies and support long-term account retention and growth
Qualification
Required
5+ years of sales or account management experience in food, ingredient, or related industries
Strong communication, analytical, and organizational skills
Proficient in Microsoft Excel; CRM experience (Salesforce preferred)
Willingness to travel 10-20%
Preferred
Bachelor's degree in Business, Agriculture, Marketing, or related field
Familiarity with CPG, ingredient, and foodservice sales channels; broker/distributor management experience
