Health Safety Environment Manager

They are seeking a Health Safety Environment Manager to lead HSE compliance, develop and review corporate procedures, and promote a collaborative work environment while ensuring regulatory compliance and safety standards are met.

Responsibilities

Demonstrates leadership and commitment to Health, Safety and Environment (HSE) throughout KVI. Actively promotes and demonstrates compliance with HSE requirements
Maintains, implements and identifies improvements to the HSE Management System and the company's HSE culture
Develops and reviews corporate procedures
Develops project specific HSE documentation
Supports the development and reviews task specific Risk Assessment as required
Acts as accident investigation leader when requested and able to provide high quality of investigation reports
Provides lessons learned and feedback for current and future projects
Ensures that HSE policies are implemented, supported and managed to provide solutions to business challenges
Promotes and fosters a collaborative, supportive teamwork environment, coaches and guides his/her subordinates
Develops and provide HSE training programs and support implementation of Corporate HSE programs
Responsible for assigned entities and country operations for: Appointing and acting as Line Manager for HSE Leaders
Maintaining liaison with Country Operations/Projects HSE leaders under his/her responsibility and with KVI Group HSE team
Assisting sales team in HSE information for tenders and quotations
Coordinating of HSE management plans or deliverables with the HSE Leaders
Ensuring compliance with local legal, Company and Project specific HSE requirements
Advising Engineering, Commissioning and HSE teams on any HSE requirements in the entities and providing assistance where required
Performing audits and inspections and creating relevant reports and action plans
Establishing, analysing and managing Health and Safety statistics
Attending meeting with Client or external stakeholders when requested or necessary
Demonstrates reliability, a high ability to work under pressure, social competency and aptitude to manage conflicts
Strong planning and organizational talent
Solution-oriented and problem-solving approach

Required

Health Safety & Environment (HSE) knowledge in an international matrix organization and best practices
Experience in comparable function in the construction, service or in similar industry
Good working knowledge of Microsoft suite applications
Strong work ethic and track record of successfully managing
Strong business orientation and entrepreneurial mindset with customer service and engineering project focus
Ability to function, communicate and network effectively across cultures
Emotional intelligence
Awareness of legal (US) requirements to reduce legal risks and ensuring regulatory compliance
Presentation skills with the ability to communicate in a convincing, comprehensive and audience-oriented manner
Proven problem-solving skills, ability to consider complex multi-disciplinary aspects of problems
Competence and ability to take decisions within the frame defined by company processes
Self-driven and leadership skills
Strong work ethic, ability to function, communicate and network effectively across cultures
Very good English (written and spoken)
Good MS Office knowledge
Approx. 50% willingness to travel domestically across US

International HSE certification e.g. Nebosh, SCC etc
