They are seeking an experienced Laser Operator responsible for operating and maintaining laser cutting equipment, ensuring accuracy and quality in finished products.

Responsibilities
Operate a Fiber Optic & C02 Laser with Automation
Conduct laser material handling - Load & unload steel
Assist in part break out
Communicate Laser status to Production Planner & Supervisor
Processing internal cut orders for manufacturing and engineering departments
Work in a safe manner and enforce all safety policies
Checking parts for quality and accuracy
Assist other departments as needed
Perform other duties as assigned
Qualification
Required
Solid computer skills
Strong math skills (shop math)
Ability to use a tape measure in both metric and inches/feet
High mechanical aptitude
Competence with basic hand tools
Coordinated, with good fine motor skills and dexterity
Exceptional attention to detail
Must be highly motivated and well organized
Able to communicate and work well with others
Must be flexible to updated changes in production schedule
Perform additional duties as assigned
Proficiency in setting up, programming, and operating laser cutting equipment is essential
Candidates should be familiar with CAD/CAM software for programming cutting paths and adjusting cutting parameters
Ability to learn to troubleshoot issues with the laser
Ability to read blueprints
Prolonged periods of standing (up to 6 hours at a time)
Performing physical activities that require considerable use of your arms, hands, fingers, legs and moving your whole body, such as lifting, balancing, walking, stooping, handling of materials, and operating machinery
Frequent twisting and turning
Correctable vision to 20/20
Must be able to lift up to 10-30lbs

Crane and forklift experience preferred
