Responsibilities

The Chief Digital Information Officer plays a critical role in overseeing the technology infrastructure and digital systems, ensuring that St. John’s Episcopal Hospital’s clinical, financial, and administrative operational needs are met

Reporting to the Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer, this leader will oversee a team of four direct reports and 35 FTEs

This leader will be responsible for performing a gap analysis to identify areas for improvement

Additionally, the leader will develop a strategic roadmap for the MEDITECH expansion project and continue to mentor and develop the team, building upon the strong progress already achieved

Ideal candidates will bring dynamic leadership, strategic vision, and a collaborative approach to partnering with leadership across the organization

A strong understanding of departmental dynamics and the ability to step in decisively during time-sensitive situations will be essential

Required

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Healthcare Administration, or a related field required; Master's degree strongly preferred

Minimum of eight years of progressive healthcare IT leadership experience, with a demonstrated ability to drive enterprise IT strategy, innovation, and transformation; prior CIO experience highly preferred

Deep knowledge of healthcare regulatory and compliance requirements, including HIPAA, NIST, HITECH, and CMS regulations; relevant professional certifications such as CHCIO, CPHIMS, or CISSP are a plus

Proven expertise in vendor management, contract negotiation, and budget oversight within complex healthcare environments
