Responsibilities
Manage, maintain, and update all 3D models throughout construction and project closeout
Develop and coordinate Revit models for MEP systems to support construction coordination and design-assist efforts
Lead coordination meetings with subcontractors, consultants, and project stakeholders
Perform clash detection and facilitate resolution across architectural, structural, and MEP disciplines
Produce 3D virtual mockups to proactively identify and mitigate potential field conflicts
Conduct laser scanning, process point cloud data, and model existing conditions in Revit
Plan and execute drone flights to capture data for site analysis and progress documentation
Coordinate MEP system installations throughout all phases of construction
Review MEP drawings, specifications, submittals, and plans for accuracy and compliance
Identify design or constructability issues early and recommend solutions to avoid delays
Collaborate with engineers, consultants, and subcontractors to resolve technical challenges
Perform site visits and inspections to track progress and ensure quality standards are met
Ensure MEP installations meet applicable codes, regulations, and project requirements
Prepare and distribute reports on BIM and MEP coordination progress, risks, and outcomes
Support adherence to site safety standards related to BIM and MEP activities
Assist with testing, commissioning, and turnover of MEP systems
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or a related discipline preferred
3–5 years of MEP coordination experience, including at least 1 year of BIM modeling or coordination
In-depth knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems
Proficiency with Autodesk Revit, Navisworks, AutoCAD, BIM 360, Procore, and Microsoft Office
Experience with CMAR and/or Design-Build delivery methods
Strong communication, organizational, and analytical skills
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, collaborative, multi-disciplinary environment
Willingness to travel to project sites throughout California
Valid driver's license required
FAA Part 107 Remote Pilot Certificate or willingness to obtain upon hire
Preferred
Experience on large-scale commercial, residential, or infrastructure projects
Professional certifications such as PMP, LEED, or MEP/BIM-related credentials
Familiarity with drone data processing and 3D point cloud modeling
