Cash Applications Analyst
Tesla is a leading electric vehicle and clean energy company, and they are seeking a Cash Applications Analyst to support their Corporate Accounting Services organization. This role focuses on cash accounting and accounts receivable, ensuring accurate financial recording and process optimization while collaborating with cross-functional teams.

Responsibilities
Contribute to accurate and timely recording of financial transactions for multiple entities, focusing on incoming customer payments
Review metrics and journal entries to detect and resolve potential errors
Reconcile bank deposits to customer accounts receivable balances
Research unusual transactions to determine appropriate accounting treatment
Author SQL queries to analyze, match, and reconcile large datasets from multiple sources
Identify process improvement opportunities and collaborate with departments such as IT, Business Information, and Payment Processing to implement automated solutions
Work closely with key contacts in other finance departments, including Revenue, Billing, and Order Operations, for cross-functional initiatives
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, or equivalent experience
2 to 5 years of relevant accounting experience at a large or public company
Ability to multi-task, prioritize, and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
Experience in writing SQL queries for relational databases
Passion for leveraging technology to scale business processes
Preferred
CPA is a plus
Experience with payment processing platforms such as Stripe or Adyen is a plus
Flexibility with nominal non-standard working hours for month-end close
