Fellow, Prevention & Partnerships
Southern Poverty Law Center seeks a Hate & Prevention Fellow who is passionate about social justice. The Fellow leads community education programs to prevent radicalization among youth, focusing on white supremacy and other extremisms, while engaging communities to identify early signs of radicalization and build local intervention networks.

Responsibilities
Build sustainable and trusting relationships with community members, allies, and partners online and in-person
Collaborates to create culturally responsive strategies that promote collective visioning, cohesive learning, and prevention resources
Develops training materials focused on preventing extremism and supporting hate crime victims with cross-departmental support
Conduct 4-8 trainings or workshops monthly, either virtually or in-person, and represents the SPLC at events and meetings
Build confidence and promotes intervention through restorative methods that focus on youth safety and support for those targeted by extremists
Provide participants with tools to identify radicalization and extremism
Collaborative and active learning techniques are essential, including facilitation styles that emphasize social justice, antiracism, critical reflection, diverse perspectives, and practical problem-solving
Work closely with the SPLC-MEAL department, partners, and communities to gather and integrate participant needs, feedback, and emerging research
Utilize creative and critical thinking to tackle complex research questions, focusing on intersectionality, diverse perspectives, and authentic self-reflection
Maintain program and project documentation, including stakeholder tracking, training session records, participant feedback, and operational assets, in line with SPLC and partner requirements
Responds reliably to inquiries from stakeholders such as donors and journalists, and collaborates on innovative strategies with SPLC's Communications, Development, JEDI, and MEAL departments
Perform other duties as required or assigned which are reasonably within the scope of the duties in this job classification
Qualification
Required
Minimum three (3) years experience in professional training and group facilitation, with a focus on youth and adult learning, instruction, and/or teaching within educational institutions, community organizations, or advocacy-based settings
Bachelor's degree in education, social work, psychology, social sciences or related field
