Responsibilities
Develop automated design failure modes & effects analysis (DFMEA) tool
Automate reliability program plan for new products
Develop expertise in automation and calculation of load following and cycling behavior at microgrid sites to correlate with system degradation
Develop a fault management knowledge database with search capability to optimize fault information
Develop capability to track the effectiveness of product reliability to support system & field reliability decisions working together with other reliability engineers on the team
Identify opportunities for automation within reliability & test processes
Automate reliability & functional tests using scripts that automatically test functionality
Automate reliability modeling process in collaboration with cross functional teams
Collaborate cross functionally to understand how automation can improve test workflow
Gather requirements from hardware & software teams to develop the best automation solutions
Reliability test equipment monitoring & reporting automation
Develop automated control scripts to accelerate stress tests where applicable
Build SW to automate & transform the current test & field infrastructure analytical data pipeline, calculating & reporting reliability on actual systems against allocated goals
Install applications and databases relevant to automation. Gather requirements from cross functional teams to develop the best automation solutions
Design, develop and document the reliability test automation framework
Develop and expand existing Automation framework with open source tools
Qualification
Required
6+ years of experience working on automation for systems
Proficiency in Python, scripting, build and test software/tools
BS/MS in a technical field with data science, AI and ML competence
Desired technical degrees in computer engineering
Experience with project management and independently manage multiple tasks while meeting deadlines and maintaining a strong attention to detail
Passion for building automation environment
Ability to communicate, collaborate, and coordinate with hardware/software engineers, reliability/test engineers & data scientists to maintain reliability & validation test schedules
Creative/Critical thinking skills
A desire to continually upgrade technical knowledge
Proven ability to design database schemas
Attention to detail and self-motivated
