Inventory Control Specialist, Oakridge, TN, On-Site

Responsibilities

Perform cycle counts, audits, and reconciliations to maintain inventory integrity
Investigate discrepancies and implement corrective actions using root-cause analysis
Maintain real-time records of incoming and outflowing inventory movements daily
Identify upticks in parts usage to determine potential evolving parts problems
Operate within HPE’s inventory platforms and various divisions to ensure data fidelity
Report anomalies and escalate problems appropriately
Optimize inventory tracking and visibility
Coordinate receiving, stocking, and distribution of materials to specific storage area
Support the identifying of problem areas and taking corrective actions as needed
Monitor reorder points and lead times to prevent stockouts and overages
Respond in a timely manner to communications on parts inquiries and ordering requests
Ensure inventory practices align with HPE’s internal controls and standards
Maintain documentation for audits, inspections, and financial reporting
Investigate and determine cause of audit discrepancies upon identification
Assist in evolving SOPs and operational guides for inventory-related tasks
Partner with HPE Ops to align inventory strategy with client needs and business goals
Participate in forecasting demand and adjust inventory levels
Train new team members on inventory protocols and HPE’s operational processes
Participate in meetings. (On site / Teams / Slack)

Required

US Citizenship required
2+ years of experience in inventory control and logistics
Proficiency in Microsoft Office and HPE Inventory systems (SFDC, Konnect, Easitool, Partsurfer)
Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills
Strong situational adaptability as demands require. (Schedule and Function Changes)
Ability to lift and move inventory items as needed
Ability to follow instructions and work independently

HPE Inventory Systems (CSR and Smart Store)
ORNL Site Experience
Active HPE Systems Parts Experience
Willingness to learn additional functions and expand the role as business requirements evolve
