Stainless is a fast-growing tech startup building the future of APIs, seeking a Special Assistant to the CEO. In this role, you will work closely with the CEO to capture insights from meetings, draft strategic communications, and synthesize complex discussions into clear documentation.

Responsibilities

Attend meetings with Alex and capture key decisions, insights, and action items in real-time

Serve as a “ghost writer.” Draft messages, documentation for our operating manual, and internal communications based on Alex's verbal processing

Synthesize complex technical and business discussions into clear, actionable documents

Route information to the right stakeholders and ensure loops get closed on important initiatives

Learn deeply about API specifications, SDK generation, developer tooling, and how technical companies scale

Contribute strategically as you gain context on the business

Partner with leadership across Engineering, Product, Operations, and GTM

Required

0-3 years out of school with a CS degree or minor (or equivalent technical background)

Outstanding writer who can distill complex ideas quickly and clearly

Understanding of basic technical concepts—know the difference between Vercel and Shopify, can follow technical conversations, and are eager to learn more

Exceptionally sharp: high IQ, high EQ, and high slope—learn fast and take initiative

Desire to start a company someday and seeking an accelerated learning opportunity

Thrive in ambiguity, context-switch rapidly, and can turn verbal brain dumps into structured documentation and strategy
