Responsibilities

Develop speeches, scripts, talking points, and internal messages for the CEO and executive team
Shape leadership voice and tone to ensure authenticity, alignment, and clarity across all internal audiences
Design and lead a comprehensive internal communications strategy that fosters transparency, engagement, and trust
Partner with HR, Operations, and Corporate Affairs to deliver communications that inform and inspire
Serve as the central point of contact for all internal messaging initiatives across departments
Own the editorial calendar and narrative across newsletters, intranet, employee spotlights, recognition programs, and company-wide announcements
Write and edit content that translates complex business priorities into clear, relatable stories
Ensure consistent voice, tone, and branding across all channels
Lead messaging for key initiatives such as reorgs, leadership transitions, strategic launches, and cultural programs
Advise leaders on timing, tone, and channel selection to maximize employee understanding and buy-in
Manage internal communication platforms such as the intranet, email campaigns, and digital signage
Drive adoption and usage of internal workflow and communication tools (e.g., Zipline, Beekeeper, Workjam, Dynamic Signal, or Firstup) to streamline field and corporate communication
Measure impact through engagement metrics, pulse surveys, and feedback loops
Build and mentor a high-performing internal communications team
Collaborate closely with Marketing, HR, and Operations to ensure consistent and coordinated messaging

Required

10+ years of experience in corporate communications, internal communications, or employee engagement within a complex, multi-site organization (retail, hospitality, or consumer environment preferred)
Proven success serving as the internal communications lead and voice for C-suite executives, including writing CEO messaging and executive content
Expertise in developing and executing internal communications strategies that drive engagement and alignment
Exceptional writing, editing, and storytelling skills with the ability to adapt tone for various audiences
Experience managing workflows and content distribution through platforms like Zipline, Beekeeper, Workjam, Firstup, or similar workflow management/communication systems
Strong project management skills with the ability to juggle multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
Comfortable operating at both strategic and hands-on levels...equally adept at crafting high-level strategy and rolling up your sleeves to write and publish content
Bachelor's degree in Communications, Public Relations, Journalism, or related field

Preferred

Master's degree in Communications, Public Relations, Journalism, or related field
