Principal Compensation Consultant

Responsibilities
Strategically manage and optimize vendor partnerships to elevate the compensation function, driving collaboration that enhances value and innovation
Stay ahead of the curve by monitoring and interpreting federal, state, and local regulations impacting compensation and benefits; proactively recommend and implement plan adjustments to ensure full compliance and mitigate risk
Spearhead participation in key benchmark surveys to analyze market trends, leveraging insights to craft and champion best-in-class compensation strategies that keep Paychex competitive and agile
Own the tracking and analysis of compensation costs; deliver insightful cost-benefit analyses, ROI assessments, and financial forecasts that inform strategic decision-making
Define and execute advanced data analytics to evaluate program effectiveness, participation rates, and employee experience, translating complex data into clear, actionable plans and programs
Drive continuous improvement by evaluating administrative workflows across compensation programs, recommending and implementing process enhancements that boost efficiency and user experience
Resolve complex, escalated issues related to compensation programs with expert judgment and a solutions-oriented approach
Support delivery of compelling communications that simplify key compensation processes —empowering employees with clear, engaging information
Partner closely with the Finance and Technology teams ensuring fiscal responsibility, data integrity and operational excellence
Drive high-impact ad hoc projects and strategic initiatives, including due diligence and integration efforts for new business acquisitions, contributing to Paychex’s growth and transformation
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources, Business or related discipline - Required
8+ years exempt level experience in Human Resources with an emphasis on compensation and benefit and wellbeing plan design, implementation, and administration. Administration includes managing vendor relations, compliance requirements and employee and leader communications
