Responsibilities
Driving and developing departmental continuous improvement initiatives and support implementation
Assemble mechanical and electrical satellite components, sub-assemblies, and integration assemblies, fabricating and/or processing materials into complex manufactured products, and operating testing equipment and tooling, all in a Cleanroom and ESD control environment
Lead process work and review output for quality and adherence to standards and procedures
Lead daily team meeting facilitation, end-of-shift reporting, and coordinating efforts to minimize production interruptions
Support new-hire training programs within your department and contribute to development and modification of training programs
You develop training plans for your team and are responsible for implementing training programs within your department
Drive safety standards and operations protocol while ensuring team compliance
Qualification
Required
High school or equivalent diploma
4+ years of hardware development, test lab, space/aerospace maintenance or hands-on engineering environment experience
Willing to work all shifts, overtime and weekends as needed. Estimated shift times 1st shift: Wed-Sat 6AM-4:30PM Shift will vary, depending on program needs
Standing for long periods of time, climbing up and down ladders, bending, grasping, sitting, pulling, pushing, stooping, and stretching may be required to perform the functions of this position
Able to lift-up to 25lbs. unassisted
Due to applicable export control laws and regulations, candidates must be a U.S. citizen or national, U.S. permanent resident (i.e., current Green Card holder), or lawfully admitted into the U.S. as a refugee or granted asylum
Preferred
2+ years of mechanical and electrical integration or assembly experience
Experience in a fast-paced, automated, industrial, logistics, production or manufacturing environment
4+ years of hand on experience with precision torque, measurement and inspection devices (i.e., automated and manual torque wrenches, calipers, micrometers, profilometers, optical inspection devices, multi-meters, torque wrenches)
