Regional Director of Clinic Operations

Responsibilities

Manage daily operations of multiple orthopedic clinics and ancillary services within the assigned region (Cypress, South, Citrus, and Palm)
Ensure consistency in workflows, policies, and performance standards across locations
Conduct regular on-site visits to assess operations, staff engagement, and patient experience
Maintain strong field presence serving as the visible face of operations across all regional clinics
Proactively identify and resolve operational challenges (e.g., scheduling templates, call volume trends, or patient flow inefficiencies)
Meet quarterly with designated physicians to review clinic and surgical volumes, revenue performance, and staffing metrics
Collaborate with providers to ensure templates and schedules support patient access and provider productivity
Communicate physician feedback and operational updates to senior leadership in a timely, solutions-oriented manner
Supervise and mentor clinic managers, senior managers, and operational teams
Provide coaching, training, and performance evaluations to promote professional growth and leadership readiness
Partner with HR to support recruitment, retention, and succession planning within the region
Monitor KPIs such as patient volume, diagnostic imaging utilization, and clinic profitability
Oversee budgeting, cost control, and financial performance of assigned regional clinics
Report monthly profit and loss statements to the VP of Operations and provide insight on key trends
Identify opportunities for cost savings and operational efficiencies through data-driven decision-making
Track and improve patient satisfaction scores across the region through engagement and service recovery initiatives
Ensure standardized procedures for scheduling, intake, and follow-up across all sites
Address escalated patient or provider concerns promptly and effectively
Serve as the primary point of contact for regional updates, providing leadership with clear, concise summaries of clinic performance and operational concerns
Maintain oversight of all internal reporting, ensuring issues such as frozen templates, call volume fluctuations, or workflow barriers are identified and resolved quickly
Collaborate cross-functionally with Billing, HR, IT, and ancillary departments to ensure cohesive operations and support FOI’s broader strategic goals

Required

Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Healthcare Management, or related field required
Minimum 5-7 years of progressive leadership experience in multi-site clinical or physician practice operations
Proven ability to lead, mentor, and develop clinic managers and cross-functional teams
Strong understanding of healthcare operations and financial metrics, including patient volume, scheduling templates, and clinic/surgical productivity
Skilled in physician relations with experience conducting performance and volume reviews
Analytical thinker with the ability to identify trends, resolve workflow inefficiencies, and drive performance improvement
Excellent communicator with a collaborative leadership style and “boots-on-the-ground” approach
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, EMR systems, and operational reporting tools

Preferred

Master's degree in Business Administration, Healthcare Management, or related field
