Responsibilities
Conveyor design, manufacture, and installation
Automotive Body, Paint & Assembly plant upgrades and greenfield installation projects
Automotive Powertrain plant upgrades and greenfield installation projects
Upgrades and installation projects for other manufacturing industries
Structural steel and mezzanine design, manufacture and installation
Robot installations and programming
Heavy equipment relocation of manufacturing equipment (Rigging & Millwright Projects)
On-site technical services to support project and customer needs
Adhering to and supporting all EHS and Quality objectives, in accordance with ISO 14001, 45001 and 9001 respectively
All other duties as assigned by Leadec Manager
Qualification
Required
BS Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related discipline
Experience with conveyor design
Work as a part of our engineering team or individually as directed by your supervisor
Provide field engineering support for the installation and modification of equipment during summer shutdowns
Use your engineering skills to design new or modify existing plant processing equipment, steel structures or system components
3-D Modeling, design and analysis
2-D CAD general arrangement and detailing
Generation of Bills of Material for purchase or fabrication
Team collaboration with systems engineering, project management and installation crews
Field investigation including feasibility analysis, field measurements, and collaboration with installation crews
Communication Skills - Ability to communicate with all levels of Leadec and customer employees
Language Ability -- Talking to others to convey information effectively
Comprehension Ability -- Understanding and application of basic, intermediate, and advanced instructions
Language Ability -- Communication with others to convey information in a timely and effective manner
Reading Ability - Cognitive ability to interact with written words or text
Math Ability -- Understanding and application of mathematics towards problem solving activities
Reasoning Ability - Ability to conduct basic, intermediate, and advanced problem solving
Required to talk and/or hear in an industrial setting (noise level is high)
Frequently required to stand and walk on concrete surfaces for 4 -12 hours
Occasionally required to reach with hands and arms; lift; climb or balance; kneel, crawl, stoop, or crouch
Vision requirements are close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, and depth perception and focus adjustment
