Responsibilities
Evaluate and lead Hennessy/Cognac strategies in local markets within a geographic territory, focusing on key accounts, trade advocacy and education
Drive brand performance according to Brand Equity KPI’s: volume and value, quality of the distribution, quantity and quality of brand activations & media noise (traditional, digital and social)
In close partnership with the commercial marketing team, train, bartenders/mixologists, wait-staff (on premise), account managers, and distributor network inclusive of brand training, mixology and programming (Trainings may include audience outside of trade, such as consumers, gatekeepers & press)
Develop and foster relationships with key accounts to maximize Hennessy’s visibility and presence by supporting cocktail placements
Work with local and commercial teams to identify, prioritize and schedule account and distributor visits for trainings
In conjunction with brand stakeholders, lead brand home visits with internal and external audiences
Collaborate with our Global Hennessy Ambassador lead in support of our global brand education and trade advocacy long-term objectives
Submit weekly, monthly and quarterly reporting including, but not limited to, brand performance, event ROI, social media activity, competitive activity, samplings, trainings, etc
Participate in weekly administrative status calls for program direction/alignment
Join monthly market status calls to share best practices in the market
Effectively manage assigned budgets for brand development and promotion activity
Conduct monthly T&E expense reconciliation
Ensure legal and compliance accountability across all promotional activity
Share weekly calendar for alignment and visibility across all stakeholders
Participate in monthly market status call to share best practices in the market
Conduct monthly reporting including, but not limited to, program KPIs, event performance metrics, social media activity, competitive activity, samplings, trainings, etc

Serve as the market expert for Hennessy/Cognac; understand what drives consumer behavior based on different cultural and demographic segments
Provide compelling storytelling and training techniques based upon a deep understanding of Brand’s legacy
Effectively communicate features, aspects, and unique selling points to potential customers
Provide demonstrations and samples to showcase brand’s versatility and mixability
Host key consumer events (dinners, networking events, etc.), key accounts/events sampling events and PR opportunities
Actively participate in trade shows, conferences, general sales meetings, and social media platforms
Create positive brand experiences in market under brand guidelines through education, trade advocacy, and cocktail culture
Maintain consistent digital and media presence in support of brand education and trade advocacy
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree required
5-7 years of experience within the beverage alcohol industry/3-Tier System with established relationships with distributor personnel and key accounts in market
Keen understanding of Brand Education and Trade Advocacy
Affinity with and cultural ability to represent the values of luxury wines and spirits
Experience in representing spirits brands in a field-based or ambassador role
In-depth knowledge of liquor consumption trends, cocktail trends, habits and preferences of consumers in the spirits and Cognac category
Demonstrate high levels of customer service; friendly, approachable, and skilled in active listening skills
Confident orator with strong presentation and communication skills
Established network of industry and trade professionals
Full understanding of modern training techniques
An appreciation of the critical necessity to function as a team, and the ability to motivate in achieving agreed objectives
Ability to work flexible hours, including nights and weekends required
Travel as needed
Preferred
Food & Beverage, Hospitality and/or Retail experience is strongly preferred
