Texoma Medical Center is a 414-bed acute care facility providing quality health care to the residents of North Texas and Southern Oklahoma. The Lab Aide will perform routine phlebotomy procedures, assist in clerical duties, and conduct testing procedures in a laboratory setting.

Perform routine phlebotomy procedures

Assist in clerical duties, processing of outpatient specimens, restocking, cleaning work areas, inventory assessment and performing testing procedures described as "waived" testing and moderately complex testing

Required

High School Diploma/GED, or highest level of education

Reading and numerical competency

One year of recent phlebotomy experience or completion of MLT/Phlebotomy program

Ability to learn computer system and computerized lab equipment

Demonstrates knowledge and exhibits skills in obtaining laboratory specimens from all age groups

Must have moderate complex testing after initial training and assessment at six-months

Expectation that you can perform both waived and moderate complexity testing using Point of Care devices during code blue/trauma, or as needed in other areas

Must work well with people and maintain confidentiality
