Responsibilities
Lead and develop a team of engineers, providing mentorship, training, and performance management
Drive innovation, process improvements, and cost-reduction initiatives within manufacturing and distribution operations
Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Production, Quality, Maintenance, and Supply Chain, to enhance efficiency and productivity
Align engineering activities with company objectives and long-term strategic goals
Oversee the design, implementation, and optimization of manufacturing processes to improve quality, efficiency, and safety
Develop and implement continuous improvement methodologies
Troubleshoot production issues, identify root causes, and implement corrective actions
Evaluate and implement new technologies, automation, and process improvements
Manage capital projects, including budgeting, timelines, and execution
Coordinate with internal teams and external vendors to ensure successful project completion
Develop and monitor engineering metrics and KPIs to drive operational improvements
Ensure compliance with industry regulations, safety standards, and company policies
Work closely with Safety teams to improve workplace safety
Maintain documentation for engineering projects, process changes, and regulatory compliance
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related field
Five or more years of engineering experience in a manufacturing environment, with 3+ years in a leadership role
Strong knowledge of manufacturing processes, automation, and industrial engineering principles
Experience with Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, and continuous improvement methodologies
Proficiency in CAD software, ERP systems, and project management tools
Preferred
10 or more years of engineering experience in a manufacturing environment, with 5+ years in a leadership role
Certifications in Lean Six Sigma or related
