Responsibilities
Develop and execute sales strategies to expand Goddard’s presence in robotics, automation, and intelligent systems
Drive pipeline creation, manage the full sales lifecycle, and close new business to meet revenue and growth targets
Build and maintain relationships with key clients, partners, and decision-makers to drive long-term business growth
Own the process of identifying, engaging, and landing new clients across target markets including robotics, OEMs, automation integrators, and smart systems developers
Lead high-impact presentations and negotiations that position Goddard’s technical capabilities and value proposition
Partner with Marketing and executive leadership to refine go-to-market strategy, pricing, and market positioning
Oversee pipeline management, forecasting, and reporting to ensure predictable, data-driven growth
Foster a culture of accountability, performance, and collaboration
Partner with Account Managers, project management, and engineering teams to ensure exceptional client experiences and smooth project transitions
Collaborate across mechanical, electrical, software, and controls disciplines to ensure technical accuracy and client confidence
Contribute to strategic planning, resource forecasting, and company wide growth initiatives as part of the leadership team
Uphold professionalism, integrity, and confidentiality in all business dealings
Qualification
Required
8+ years of sales or business development experience in a B2B technical environment, preferably within industrial automation, robotics, or advanced manufacturing sectors
Demonstrated success achieving or exceeding annual revenue targets
Proven ability to manage long sales cycles and complex, multi-stakeholder relationships
Experience collaborating with cross-functional engineering and marketing teams
Strong understanding of robotics systems, automation technologies and integration processes
Excellent communication, presentation, and proposal writing skills
Proficiency in CRM and sales tracking platforms such as HubSpot or Salesforce
Data-driven mindset with the ability to analyze trends and translate insights into action
Willingness to travel domestically up to 40% for client meetings, events, and industry conferences
Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Business, or a related technical field required
Preferred
Master's Degree in Business Administration, Engineering Management, or related field preferred
