Responsibilities
Designing water and wastewater pump stations, treatment facilities/processes for water and wastewater plants, conveyance systems, technical writing, and construction drawing and specification production
Design pump stations for water and wastewater, including pipe sizing calculations, selection of pump type, process facilities (primary, secondary, tertiary, and solids treatment systems), rotating equipment (centrifugal pumps, blowers), piping systems, valves, and appurtenances for in plant process piping, chemical systems, and hydraulic studies
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related degree
At least 8 years of experience in water/wastewater process mechanical engineering for municipal or industrial clients
Detailed mechanical design experience for water and wastewater treatment plants, pump stations, and conveyance systems
Experience developing P&ID's in coordination with process control engineers
Professional Engineer (P.E.) License
Preferred
Hydraulic Modeling experience
Experience designing piping systems, valves, and appurtenances for water and wastewater treatment plant process piping (ductile iron, steel, PVC, HDPE, copper, etc.)
Design implementation of rotating equipment and process treatment equipment
Design experience developing plans and specifications
Experience with Design-Build, CMAR/CM-GC and/or EPC projects
Construction support services for water and wastewater projects or related industries
