Responsibilities
Responsible for overseeing the daily Lab Visit list, completing the collection record, printing labels, receiving specimens and prioritizing patient blood draws
Responsible for answering the lab phone and assisting callers with their questions and requests
Responsible for loading and unloading the centrifuge along with organizing the specimens for in-house and send out testing
Responsible for loading specimens onto the Sysmex instrument to initiate test analysis
Responsible for assisting the providers during bone marrow biopsies
Responsible for providing phlebotomy duties as needed
Responsible for maintaining lab supply inventory and complete order forms for needed supplies
Assist with preparing and sending out Molecular Test Kits
Qualification
Required
High School Diploma or equivalent
Two years related work experience including phlebotomy
Exceptional people skills in the medical field
Ability to maintain composure during extremely busy times
Strong organizational skills
Ability to work independently at a fast pace with minimal supervision
Able to maintain confidentiality
95% of time spent standing / walking
High attention to detail needed
