They are seeking interns to focus on research into wireless networking and technology for 6G RAN and beyond Next Generation Radio Access Networks (NG-RAN). The role involves developing and demonstrating novel concepts for advanced wireless networks using machine-learning techniques.

Responsibilities

Our intern will focus on research into wireless networking and technology for 6G RAN and beyond Next Generation Radio Access Networks (NG-RAN)

The program goal will be to develop and demonstrate novel concepts for advanced wireless networks with massive MIMO to improve performance and reduce complexity and overhead by utilizing cutting-edge machine-learning techniques, built upon our existing research outcomes in these areas

A range of research activities are available including the survey of key scenarios, open issues, and existing research work in wireless network modeling and optimization, machine learning / artificial intelligence techniques, research on potential directions to address identified issues, and the research in one selected direction and solutions/evaluations development

Required

Completion of applicable graduate coursework in relevant fields within electrical engineering and/or applied mathematics; e.g., wireless communication, ML/AI, stochastic processes, communications networks, optimization

Candidate should have knowledge in wireless networks, and knowledge and previous experience in statistic modeling / machine learning / AI including traditional machine learning and deep learning

Excellent communication and teamwork skills

Proficiency with commercial programming/processing tools, e.g., Python, Tensorflow, Keras, MATLAB

Preferred

Doctoral students with completion of master's degree, in Electrical Engineering, Computer science and/or Applied Mathematics are preferred
