Responsibilities

Perform engineering analysis and design of bespoke aluminum framing systems, including ACM, sheet metal, perforated plates, sunshades and varied material inserts and fasteners

Develop load paths and perform calculations in compliance with building codes and client specifications

Conduct finite element modeling (FEM), MathCAD, and Excel-based analysis for façade systems

Evaluate unitized and stick-built curtainwall systems and design structural loading additions, including extensive connection detailing

Prepare and assemble engineering calculation packets for submittals

Evaluate subcontracted engineering work and provide technical direction

Collaborate with project managers, drafting teams, and fabricators to achieve quality, efficiency, and constructability standards

Compile and present engineering documentation, including structural reports, drawings, and calculations

Conduct site observations and collect field data to support design validation

Review technical specifications for negotiation and project initiation

Support preliminary engineering designs for sales and estimating teams

Serve as a technical liaison with clients to communicate engineering intent
